PROMOTING RESEARCH TRANSFER TOGETHER

Together with our academic partners, we would like to encourage scientific staff, doctoral candidates and postdocs to transfer research and raise awareness of career paths outside of the university. By participating in the program, our partners increase the long-term chances of success for their start-up activities and thus increase the reputation of German universities and research institutes as forges for innovative start-up ideas and excellent research transfer. Our partners are actively involved in organizing the workshops. On the one hand, we actively support the information about our workshops with information material for newsletters and social media. On the other hand, partners can bring the founders of their own spin-offs into the workshops as role models, which provide the participants with a lively insight into successful founding stories. As experts, we invite partners to the pitch jury, who thus gain a direct link to the participants and their ideas. This also creates an initial contact between the participants and the start-up centers on site.

The advantages of a YES partnership:
  • A nationwide network to promote scientific innovations and entrepreneurial spirit/research transfer
  • Expansion of the regional offer with high-quality English-language formats for scientists
  • Regular network meetings and exchange with colleagues from all over Germany
  • Sustainable networking with participants and our Falling Walls Community
  • Certification for „Young Entrepreneurs in Science CAMPUS“ as a visualization of excellent work for start-up awareness and knowledge transfer

SPONSORSHIPS

As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to actively design and participate in our workshops. Logos appear on flyers, the website, and other communication materials. Intensified contact with scientists through participation in alumni events

A COMMUNITY OF LEADERS IN SCIENCE AND INNOVATION

Netzwerktreffen / Community Events

To strengthen regional and national entrepreneurship ecosystems, YES encourages exchange among partners with regular network meetings and events. In Germany-wide meetings, we jointly investigate current questions from the academic start-up centers and use the meetings to find solutions together. With regional network meetings, we deepen the contact and cooperation between the partners.

Falling Walls Connect

Our Falling Walls Connect platform gives you the opportunity to stay in touch with all YES partners and YES alumni. In addition, you can reach creative minds from the worldwide Falling Walls network and use the platform for further exchange in this global community.

CERTIFICATION AS YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS IN SCIENCE CAMPUS

„Young Entrepreneurs in Science Campus“ is a certificate developed by the Falling Walls Foundation, which recognizes partner institutions that are committed to more entrepreneurship in science and research through their participation in the initiative. It is an expression of the long-term commitment to raising awareness of start-ups at the award-winning university or research institution. The basis for awarding the certificate is the fulfillment of quality standards in the application and implementation of awareness-raising measures in cooperation with Young Entrepreneurs in Science. The certificate is valid for one year from the time of acquisition and can be renewed by re-examining the commitment to the Start-up sensitization by Young Entrepreneurs in Science should be extended.

You will be able to download your participant handout 1–3 days after the workshop via the login details provided in the confirmation and follow-up emails.

Our workshops are held in English. They are intended for participants at level B2 or higher of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

We use the Zoom video conferencing software for our online workshops and webinars.
